‘I was brought up by my Granny (now 85 and still going strong) and grew up listening to wonderful stories about her childhood and the food she loves. Originally from China and the daughter of a magistrate, she had a privileged upbringing and was exposed to high-end Chinese cuisine. At the age of 16, she married my Grandad and moved to Malaysia, which offered new and exciting foods to try and cook for her family.
